Graphene oxide as electrode material in Battery
The researchers found that graphene oxide can be used as an electrode material for sodium-ion batteries and exhibits good cycle performance. Hydrogen and oxygen atoms in graphene oxide can effectively prevent the restacking of the sheets, making the spacing of the sheets large enough to allow the rapid intercalation and extraction of sodium ions. It is used as the negative electrode material of the sodium ion battery, and it is found that the charge and discharge times can exceed 1000 times in some kind of the electrolyte.
