Properties:

1.It is a new ceramic material.And it has excellent physical and chemical performance.Such as hugh melting point(2980 centigrade),high hardness(34 GPa),and its  density is 4.52 g/cm3 

2.It could stand wear and tear,also resist acid-alkali. 

3.Its electric performance is good (P=14.4μ Ω . Cm), heat-conducting property is strong (25J/m. S. K).And it has excellent chemical stability and thermal shock resistant performance.

4.Titanium diboride and its composite materials are innovative and high technology materials that were widely concerned and putative that has promotional value and application prospect.

 

Application:

1.Electroconductibility composite. Use TiB2 and BN to make electric conduction BN (evaproration), is vacuum aluminizing equipment’s primary member.

2.Ceramic cutting tool and its component. To make TiB2 ceramic, use in metal wortle, compressing die, blast nozzle, potted component, cutting tool, etc.

3. Compound ceramic material. Use as polybasic composite material components. TiB2 can use with TiC, TiN and SiC, as cutting tools’ composite materials. And can be used as a component to make armor protection material. It is the best materials of thermostability pieces and function devices.

4.Aluminium electrolysis cathode material. As TiB2 and Al’s good weltability, can reduce power consumption and extend service life of electrolyzer.

5.Can make PTC exothermicmaterial and flexibility PTC material. It is reinforcer of Al, Fe, Cu, and other metals.
